General information
Why a program on Coaching for Mastery?
This course was developed to provide training on the use of the Person Centered Thinking Coaching Cards, which are a collection of coaching strategies that serve as a job aid for anyone charged with helping others to increase their competence and confidence in putting person centred thinking tools into practice. Coaching conversations increase the likelihood that the person being coached will achieve their desired objective. The techniques learned in this course can be especially helpful when providing follow up support to those who have completed training in person centred thinking and are trying to incorporate person centred thinking tools and skills into their daily work. Supervisors and managers will find these techniques useful in their coaching role with employees. Helping professionals will benefit by using these approaches with individuals, families and organisations for which they provide services and supports.
Who should attend:
- Anyone who has the core responsibility of helping others increase their competence and confidence when putting person centered thinking tools into practice.
- Supervisors, managers, or organisational leaders who would like to be more person centered with team members and direct reports.
- Professionals and practitioners wanting to exercise creativity and judgment by exploring new ways to empower individuals and families for whom they provide services and supports.
Person Centered Thinking Coaching will benefit anyone who helps others further their understanding and mastery of person centred practices.
